ABOUT ME

Sam
Zajczenko
Sam Zajczenko is a mechanical engineer from Chicago.
I attended University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, earning my Bachelor's in Mechanical Eng. , and minor in Electrical Eng.
I am a senior mechanical engineering student at UIUC with a strong focus and love for design, analysis, and hands-on engineering work. I have tackled projects ranging from product design of drivetrain systems, design review of CAD/Systems, and more. I’ve worked extensively with 3D printing, manufacturing analysis, and iterative design processes, learning how engineering decisions impact performance, cost, and production. I am familiar with the engineering process as a whole from styling to aftermarket.
Looking forward, I aim to move into roles that combine mechanical design with controls and system-level thinking. I’m particularly interested in developing systems where mechanical components and control strategies interact: such as drivetrain systems, robotics, and dynamic mechanical systems. My goal is to contribute to engineering solutions that are not only well-designed physically, but also optimized through intelligent control and performance analysis.
